Endorsement Process
Since 1998, the Rhode Island Latino Political Action Committee
(RILPAC) has been interviewing and endorsing candidates for
public office in Rhode Island.  As the largest Latino political
organization in the state, our endorsements are significant, and
much sought-after by candidates for municipal and state-wide
office. As the Latino communities grow, so does the need for
RILPAC’s participation, so that all Latino voters — and our
friends in other communities — will know which candidates best
serve Latino interests.

Endorsement Process
•        All municipal and state-wide contests will be evaluated to
determine appropriateness for consideration within the RILPAC
endorsement process.
•        Candidates seeking office within the selected races will
receive a RILPAC endorsement questionnaire.
•        Candidates that submit the RILPAC questionnaire will be
scheduled for an interview with the RILPAC membership.
•        Candidates will be evaluated on their responses to the
questions on the questionnaire and by their responses in their
interview.
•        The RILPAC membership will reach decisions by
consensus and communicate its decisions to the candidates and to
the press.
